05 Jul 2021 Visit of Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Rector to Manas University


Rector of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Prof. Dr. Turgay Uzun and the accompanying delegation visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU).

During the visit Cooperation Protocol between Universities, Mevlana Exchange program protocol and the Turkish World Digital Citizenship Project protocol were signed. The two Rectors said that they would be pleased to do works together that will benefit the Turkish World.  After the signing ceremony, the guest delegation got acquainted with the infrastructure of the university.

Guest Rector Prof. Dr. Turgay Uzun later became a guest of MEDIAMANAS' joint radio-television broadcast.


02 Jul 2021 Rector of Karabuk University visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish University Manas

Rector of Karabuk University Professor Refik Polat and his accompanying delegation visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU).

During the visit on July 2, 2021, a Protocol on Cooperation and an agreement on participation in the project "Digital Citizenship in the Turkic World" were signed.

After the signing ceremony, Refik Polat got acquainted with the Chyngyz Aitmatov campus. After a tour of the campus, Rector Polat became a guest of the MEDIAMANAS joint radio TV broadcast.

A cooperation protocol was signed between the two universities; contains points for cooperation in the field of student and teacher exchange, joint research and activities, scientific publications for educational and research purposes, joint publication of journals and other materials, sharing of all types of academic resources.



A delegation consisting of Chief Advisor to KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Beşe, Director of International Relations Ph. D. Kadri Ağgün, International Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Yunus Emre Gürbüz visited Assembly of the Peoples of Kyrgyzstan, on June 10, 2021. The delegation met with representatives of Karachay-Balkar, Tatar and Uyghur peoples along with the Editorial Board of the Uyghur Newspaper, Ittifak (Yntymak). 

During the visit, the delegation provided information about KTMU and invited students of these peoples to take part in the University Entrance Exam to be held on July 4, 2021. During the talks, organizing events such as exhibitions and concerts at KTMU with representatives has been discussed.

Further visits to the Assembly of the Peoples of Kyrgyzstan will be made in coming weeks.

Assembly of the Peoples of Kyrgyzstan is governmental organization that works to maintain harmonious relations between peoples in Kyrgyzstan and includes representatives of peoples in Kyrgyzstan.


07 Jun 2021 Delegation from Osh State University visited Manas University


Rector of the Osh State University Assoc. Dr. Kudayberdi Kocobekov and the accompanying delegation visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on June 7, 2021. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Universities and exchange of experience between administrative staff, as well as familiarize with the structural divisions and infrastructure of the Manas University.

The delegation from Osh State University consisted from Rector, Vice-Rectors, heads of the main departments of the university and Faculty members.

During the meeting Cooperation Protocol was signed between the two universities; It envisages student and academic staff exchange, joint scientific research and activities, and common sharing of physical and electronic academic resources and other issues.


25 May 2021 Manas University among Top 400 Universities in QS


Manas University among Top 400 Universities in QS

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) ranked 183th among the top 400 universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking. KTMU is in second place in Kyrgyzstan.

Comparatively, Manas University was ranked on 190th in 2019. This year KTMU is 15th in the Central Asia ranking. There are 27 universities from Kazakhstan, 2 from Kyrgyzstan, 4 from Uzbekistan and 1 from Tajikistan.

121 of the top 400 universities in the ranking are from Russia and 55 are from Turkey.

The ranking is prepared by evaluating universities from 29 countries according to various criteria. These criteria’s include the academic reputation index of the university, the reputation index among employers, the number of employees with a doctorate, the ratio of the citation index of scientific publications to the number of academicians, and the website usage index.

QS is known as one of the most popular university rankings in the world.



06 May 2021 Ambassador of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University


The Ambassador of the Hungary to Kyrgyz Republic Shandor Dorogi visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University(KTMU)

On May 6, 2021, during a meeting with the Ambassador, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan said that Hungary is the most important country in Central Europe in terms of relations between Turkey and Central Asia.

Brotherhood relations based on a common history

Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan said that the relations between the Turks and the Hungarians are the result of a brotherhood starting with the Scythian and Cimmerian Turks and continuing with the Hun Turks. He also added: "We do not put the Hungarian people in a different place than the Turkish Nation. They are our true brothers."

Hungary's special position in relations

Prof.Dr. Ceylan noted that the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, holds Hungary in a special position, also stated that the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary reached a very high level after President Erdogan's visit to Kyrgyzstan in 2018.

An important cultural activity: Turan Congress

Underlining that KTMU will fulfill its duty within this framework, Ceylan also expressed his opinion that the Turan Congress held in Hungary was a very important cultural activity.

The lack of Hungarian students at KTMU

Rector Alpaslan Ceylan called the lack of Hungarian students at KTMU a disadvantage and expressed the hope that this disadvantage will be overcome with the help of the Ambassador Dorogi. He also said that he would invite Hungarian athletes and academics to the opening of the university's traditional sports games complex.

The importance given to qualified education

Co-Rector Prof.Dr. Asılbek Kulmırzayev in his speech emphasized the importance of providing quality education to young people, and stated that raising students in accordance with the requirements of the time is one of the main objectives of KTMU, and that Hungarian students can come to KTMU to improve themselves in every sense and contribute to the cultural richness of the University.

Impressive opportunities of KTMU

Ambassador Shandor Dorogi said that he was very impressed with the possibilities of the university and that he will make every effort to ensure that Hungarian students start studying here and can take advantage of these opportunities. Ambassador Dorogi stated that they give a great importance to expanding cooperation in the field of education.

Speaking about his interest in traditional sports, the ambassador said that all types of work aimed at attracting people to this field are closely related to him, and he wants to support them.
