Application submission period: 1 June – 20 August 2021 Required Documents for International Applicants:

• Copy of the certificate / diploma of education; with indication of studied subjects and the grades (notarized translation into Russian or English) ;

• Passport photocopy;

• Written application letter addressed to the Rector of the University;

• 1 photos 3х4, (should be taken within the last 3 months) GPA of applicants should not be lower than 4 on a 5 grading system, and not lower than 85 on a 100 point system. Applicants from CIS countries (Common wealth of Independent States) will have a written exams and interview.

Applicants from countries except CIS countries will have only interview with Selection Committee after approval of application documents. Foreign applicants of visa-free countries can send copies of documents by e-mail ( or arrive in Bishkek and submit copies of documents for study personally. Foreign citizens of visa needed countries should send copies of documents by e-mail ( with a note "Application for University".

If the required documents are approved by Selection Committee, KTMU sends an official invitation to study to the consular office of the Kyrgyz Republic at the place of residence of the foreign applicant (for visa countries). Foreign citizens who have received the status of "Kayrilman" (an ethnic Kyrgyz who actually resides in the Kyrgyz Republic and who has withdrawn from the citizenship of another state or who is a stateless person who voluntarily returns to the historical homeland and obtained the status of kayrilman) can’t submit by a quota for the citizens of Turkic Speaking Countries and Communities.

Manas University among Top 400 Universities in QS

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) ranked 183th among the top 400 universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking. KTMU is in second place in Kyrgyzstan.

Comparatively, Manas University was ranked on 190th in 2019. This year KTMU is 15th in the Central Asia ranking. There are 27 universities from Kazakhstan, 2 from Kyrgyzstan, 4 from Uzbekistan and 1 from Tajikistan.

121 of the top 400 universities in the ranking are from Russia and 55 are from Turkey.

The ranking is prepared by evaluating universities from 29 countries according to various criteria. These criteria’s include the academic reputation index of the university, the reputation index among employers, the number of employees with a doctorate, the ratio of the citation index of scientific publications to the number of academicians, and the website usage index.

QS is known as one of the most popular university rankings in the world.
