Applications for the Middle East Technical University and Kirsehir Ahi Evran University were opened for the Fall Semester of 2019-2020 Academic Year within the framework of Erasmus+ KA107 Project


We are happy to announce that applications for the Middle East Technical University and Kirsehir Ahi Evran University were opened for the Fall Semester of 2019-2020 Academic Year within the framework of Erasmus+ KA107 agreementws signed between Universities.

 - 2nd year undergraduate students of the Agriculture Faculty and the Turcology Department only can apply to the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University.

 - 2nd year undergraduate students of all departments that are available at Middle East Technical University can apply to the Middle East Technical University. Graduate students can apply if they agree to take and attend the courses.

 

Application requirements:

 • Grade point average is higher than 3.50

• English TOEFL score more than 500 (PBT), 65 (IBT).

Application Procedures:

 Students who want to apply must bring their TOEFL certificate (PBT or IBT) (AUCA Institutional TOEFL certificate is valid) and the signed and stamped transcript (in English) to the International Relations Office which is situated on the second floor of the Rectorate building.

 After the applications has over selection committee will nominate two students, one as a main candidate and one as a reserve candidate for each University. Applications will be evaluated according to the general grade point average and English language score as 50% of GPA + 50% of Language Score; and students with the highest score will be shown as candidates. The selection committee will then notify the University Senate Board of the results and submit it for approval.

 

Application deadline for students: 22 April – 10 May, 2019.

Evaluation process: 11 May – 15 May, 2019

Virtual Conference: International Education after COVID-19 May 28, 2020 (07:00-9:00 Washington/ 16:00-18:00 Tashkent)  

Today, people all over the world are experiencing the unprecedented breakout of COVID-19, which is challenging every aspect of our lives and reshaping the future of higher education. Around the world, higher education institutions have implemented response plans, delivered education online, and cancelled summer international academic mobility programs. Despite the enormous challenges, there remains significant potential to cultivate U.S. and Central Asian partnerships from a distance in the areas of scientific collaboration, educational curriculum, and capacity building for internationalization. American Councils for International Education in collaboration with the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino invite academic and administrative staff of Central Asian higher education institutions to participate in a Virtual Conference: International Education after COVID-19.

Goal and Outcomes: Gather best practices of international education practitioners across Central Asia in their responses to COVID-19; Share approaches and solutions across Central Asian universities to create a vision for international education after COVID-19; Provide a networking opportunity for administrators and faculty in international higher education. In four breakout sessions, we invite heads of academic and international affairs offices to contribute their ideas and perspectives. An American Councils staff member will moderate in a round-table format on one of the following topics of participants’ choice: Internationalization Planning and Strategies: How is your institution adjusting your international education strategy? Online Teaching and Learning: What successes and challenges has your institution experienced in the move toward online teaching and learning? Innovations in Student Mobility: How will international student and faculty mobility programs look after COVID-19 for admission, mobility and international projects? Research Priorities: How are the different HEIs (medical, technical, pedagogical, law, etc.) uniquely addressing solutions for faculty research during and after COVID-19?

During the registration, you will be able to select your preferred breakout session topic and submit a short statement (200-500 words) on your vision for the future of international education. Responses will be shared with participants to support a community of expertise in Central Asia. Following the conference, all participants will be provided a certificate from American Councils for International Education and Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino certifying attendance in the online conference. Please note that registration is limited to recipients of this email address only. Upon registration, you will receive details about the conference.
