When I applied for the first time, it was not successful, but I did not give up and send my application again in the second year. Only after my second trial, I was accepted and had a chance to select three universities of Europe. I decided to study at the oldest university in the world such as the University of Bologna, which was located in the city of Bologna, Italy. > Bologna city is the capital city of Emilia-Romagna Region of Italy. It is very populous and the heart of a metropolitan area. This city hosts every year thousands of foreign students which enrich the cultural and social life of the city. Persoanlly, Bologna is one of the most beautiful cities of Europe, because its historical buildings, architechture, and of course delicious food. > Let me briefly introduce you with the education and university. The Bologna University is considered one of the first universities in Europe, dating back to 1088. This university was the first educational center in which the Bologna system was established. Most of the research and courses are taught in English language. There are many interesting intercultural programs and events for the university students which are organised in the line of exchanging experience, knowledge, and expertise. The univeresity is full of diverse ínternational students around the world. > This univeresity does not exclude students from Kyrgyzstan as well due to cooperation of higher education of Europe and Central Asia. The Erasmus Mundus Educational program allows students of Kyrgyzstan to get their BA, MA, and PhD degrees in Europe. Every student with good knowledge of one the foreign languages (English, German, French, Italian) can apply. There are of course diverse programs, starting from getting one semester exchange program to obtaining full degree programs. It is important to note here ist hat they provide full scholarships. > My personal experience with the university was very surprising and unexpected. I found the university professors and other administrative stuff were very supportive and helpful in terms of feeling constantly welcomed. I liked the way how the university professors treat you as equal colleagues despite your nationality, gender, and age. I was given an intensive Italian course for free, for which I was grateful. There were so many opportunities to learn Italian language, both inside and outside the university. I felt that an extra foreign language was an asset for me. Italian people are very open and communicative, therefore knowledge of Italian language opened me door to Italian culture and society. > In order to apply for this program, you must be student one of university in Kyrgyzstan, 2 recommendation letter, certificate of English language, and motivation letter.
